Morris County School of Glass Is Open!
If you have ever seen glassblowing, you know that it is a unique and mesmerizing art form where a blob of molten material is transformed into something beautiful and special. The Morris County School of Glass https://www.mcsog.com is a public access glass blowing school that is dedicated to bringing this unique art form to Morris County and beyond.
Our studio provides a safe and dynamic environment where students of all ages and skill levels can experience glass blowing in a fun, creative, and hands-on way. We focus on beginner level classes with the opportunity to move on to more advanced workshops.
Our school offers a wide variety of glass blowing classes, private lessons, team-building events, private parties, as well as artist demonstrations, seasonal activities, studio rentals, and other glass experiences.
Our business is taking COVID-19 very seriously. While we remain open to the public, our class sizes are small. We are in a facility totally open to the outside with fans drawing the fresh air upwards and outside with a total air exchange every few minutes. We are taking both staff and student temperatures upon arrival and everyone must wear a mask at all times except for when actively glassblowing. We have installed several purell dispensers, as well as dispensers for cardboard mouthpiece covers for our pipes. All commonly touched surfaces are being disinfected with alcohol several times a day. Our glassblowing pipes and tools are being disinfected in between each use.
There is an onsite gift gallery that features the work of various renowned glass artists as well as other giftware and fine crafts.
